We really have been blessed with an amazing fall here in Minnesota. Temperatures should be in the 50s, and just yesterday we had 78 degrees at our house. It has been dry so the leaves are changing in a unique way this year. So on Sunday, we grabbed our grand doggy and went for a ride to chase Minnesota colors!
And boy, did we find color! The pictures of the trees were taken at Wild River State Park. Later on in the day, we drove through Wisconsin and ended up at Pleasant Valley Orchard where we saw amazing displays of pumpkins, rows of apple trees (the golden delicious were beautiful!), and shared a yummy apple brat and caramel apple cookie. The day was a gift, and we thoroughly enjoyed the weather and the colors!
This layout is very simple to make. I used 4 x 6 Autumn Cottage mat cards to mat my photos. I trimmed the photos down to 3-3/4 x 5-3/4. I grabbed a 1" strip of Autumn Cottage designer paper and vellum to start my border, and then the leaves sticker border from the collection. You may notice that I popped up the leaf border. I also distressed the edges of all of my paper and mats to add a little more character to the page. I grabbed some Thickers letters for the title and some rub-ons from Scrapbook.com to finish the upper corner. I forgot how much I loved rub-ons, and these were excellent quality to work with!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
