There are less than two weeks till Christmas, and I need to make a lot of cards. I am not good at making cards early, because I love this last two weeks of Christmas preparation! Hallmark movies or Christmas music plays in the background, and I pull out whatever I want to make them.
There is no patterned paper on this card. Instead I pulled out a stencil and my Evergreen scrapbooking stamp set. That beautiful sentiment is from years and years ago, and I use it almost every year on my cards. #cardmaking #stamping #christmascard #stencil
There are some fabulous techniques on this card! I stamped the background with Charcoal and one of the stamps from Design Elements to look like birch tree bark. II added vellum over the top of it to lighten it up. I rolled the pinecone stamps in Toffee and Mocha ink to give them a little more realistic look.
I love to pull out my old stamps when I create. After all, that's why we invest in stamps! When I make Christmas cards for family and close friends, I am not certain that two are ever the same. It is more fun for me to create all kinds of cards! #cardmaking #stamping #christmascards
This is the Christmas Cardinal stamp and stencil along with the spruce branches from an old set, Spruced Up. When I grabbed the music paper from Evergreen, it was just a little too dark. An easy fix for when that happens is vellum! If you look closely, you, you’ll note the music paper is somewhat muted. I put a strip of white cardstock towards the bottom of the music paper, so when I stamped the sentiment on the vellum, it wasn’t distracted by the sheet music. Such a beautiful stamp and stencil set! #cardmaking #stamping #christmascards
