I started this page with one idea, and it completely became a whole other page. Does that ever happen to you? I have this picture of a dear friend and me that was take in the pool at El Dorado Suites in Quintana Roo, Mexico. It was the last Incentive Trip that Close To My Heart hosted, and time with friends was very precious.
You can tell by my hair and our smiles that we were having such a great time in the sunshine and water. Let me tell you how I built this page.
I started with a Bright White base and brought in a piece of Serene Waters vellum that is filled with clouds. I cut that down to 11.5 x 11.5 and used CM Vellum Tape to adhere it to the base. (It's truly the best vellum tape I've ever used!)
Next, I pulled out what I have left of Serene Waters paper. Sadly, I am running out, and it's retired! I cut twelve 2 x 2 squares in different patterns. Starting in the bottom right, I adhered them 1" from the bottom and 3" from the right edge. I left 1/8" between each pattern and adhered them in four rows of three patterns. I used the light side of Dual-Tone blue cardstock at 4.5 x 6.5 for the larger photo mat and also cut a 4.25 x 6.25 Bright White cardstock to put directly under the photo.
And that's when my plans started changing! I noticed that the Black Friday bundle, Enchanted Globe, had rub-ons in it, and that made me want to use the rub-ons in my stash. I used the Scrapbook.com White Vintage Scripts rub-ons, and 49 and Market Summer Porch rub-ons.
The script rub-ons made a nice background!
The "sunshine fun" title and hearts are from Heidi Swapp Sun Chaser Titles, and the flowers are from PinkFresh Studios. "Escape" is from the 49 and Market Summer Porch collection.
There is nothing I love more than starting with a good base and then adding this and that to complement the photo! I have absolutely no embellishments for Serene Waters, so it was a matter of going through my stash to find what I need! So much fun to have this photo scrapped!
